24 Hours on Doubtful Sound

As part of a personal project, I decided to capture the magic of spending an overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound in a short video.

Doubtful Sound, or Patea to give it its Maori name, is the quieter and lesser-known cousin of Milford Sound, in New Zealand's Fiordlands. It's quite an adventure just to get to the sound, which involves getting a boat across Lake Manapouri, then a bus to Deep Cove, where the cruise on Doubtful Sound begins.

Some of the most special moments on the trip included kayaking on the sound, spotting seals and kea (the world's only Alpine parrot species), and witnessing the most spectacular sunset and sunrise over the landscape.
